Today’s devotion was John 14:6. “Jesus answered, “I am the wayand the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Jesus was telling the disciples that he was going to have to leave them in order to prepare a place for them. And this verse is speaking to Thomas who asked “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
I created this page using The Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker. I also used the Aqua Painter to highlight the verse. I actually used the Stampin’ Write Marker by squiggling on the clearblock.
I colored in just the ampersand.
Today I spent some time in Ephessians. What a wonderful message that we are given this free gift! I often forget this message and enjoyed today’s creation.
I focused on grace because even our Faith is a gift, it is Gods GRACE that saves us.
I really liked the Will Not Work For Salvation sign.
To create this page I used the letter stencils from the Simply Created Banner kit, Pool Party ink & daubers!
I highlighted the verse using Stampin’ Up! Lost Lagoon stamp pad with Aqua Painters. I used the same method to color in the “breathed” banner only using Calypso Coral ink.
The banner was inspired by this video.
*I am not worried about bleeding & ghosting. I am creating my art while spending time in the Word and I don’t want to be hindered.
I recently was introduced to the art of bible journaling. I was so excited to get started, it’s the perfect way for me to use my talents for his glory.
I am using the Single Column Journaling Bible that was available at Lifeway Christian Bookstores (in the bargain books section for full disclosure). Since it was a great deal, it was in red which I couldn’t wait to add my own touch.
I used Stampin’ Up! Flashback Designer Series Paper and Stazon ink.
I chose paper that complimented the red spine so that I wouldn’t have to cover the spine. I adhered the paper with spray adhesive.
Here is my the beginning of the current chapter of my Weight loss journal.
The Fresh Start is from the Rhonna Designs Ap.
The Quote to the right was from a Facebook Post. I trimmed it and used a Stampin’ Up! Project Life card with washi tape and a retired embellishment. I just love how it turned out!
If you are interested in documenting your own weight loss journey. Check out the comments section of this post on the Kat Z Creates Facebook page to learn more about a supportive group called “Scrapping off the weight”.
I joined a really supportive Facebook group called “Scrapping off the Weight” and which has inspired my Weightloss Journal. They even helped me with my title… “The Way I was, the way I am… And the Way I want to be!”
I used a Stampin’ Up! Project Life Card and then made my Title cards in the Rhonna Designs Ap.
I also created this envelope. Watch for a video on this coming soon!
Last summer I had the opportunity to meet Becky Higgins, a dream come true… I love everything she stands for!
Today I am sharing my Project Life Layout from that day!
I used a couple of my favorite techniques on here:
1. Using one picture over multiple layouts (like the beautiful water bottles, would you expect any less and the picture of Becky signing my card.
2. The cupcakes was a 4×6 that I trimmed down from original no pre-formatting done.
3. Of course, I used the picframe on my iPhone to create 3×4 of Becky & I.
One of my first goals in 2015 was to tame my linen closet. I also wanted to start using items from my craft studio, like this retired ribbon!
Here is the result:

This year for Thanksgiving #2 we are doing buffet style.
I was excited to add my own touch with these silverware packets which were inspired by a project introduced to me by My friend Alison.
Watch this quick video to learn how I made mine.
Check out this video to see Thanksgiving swaps I received.
